The Pain You Already Feel

Your clients are asking about AI search, and you’re looking for defensible answers.

You know it. You’ve felt it on the QBR. The CMO asks a sharper question than they did a year ago, and the answer you used to give doesn’t land the same way:

  • Your client is asking what their AI search strategy is. They’re asking you. You feel like you don’t have a defensible answer that isn’t adapted from an SEO playbook.
  • Profound or Stacker showed up in a stakeholder’s inbox and now they want to know why the data in your monthly report doesn’t match what the dashboard says.
  • You’ve added “AEO” to your scope of work, but you feel like you’re following and not leading the trends.
  • Junior analysts are pasting LLM outputs into client decks as research. You can feel that this is a quality problem; you don’t have a better source to point them at.
  • Your competition is starting to talk about AEO retainers at $8–15K/month. You’re still defending an SEO retainer at $4K, and your renewal is in 60 days.

Every one of these is the same underlying problem: the research that backs your work hasn’t caught up with the channel your clients’ buyers have moved to. Until that’s solved, every other defense is improvised.

What Quoted Is

We’re your in-house data engineering team. We run the AEO research for your clients—and hand you the intelligence.

Most AEO products give you a login and a dashboard and call that the product. That’s a tool subscription. You still have to staff the analyst hours, design the prompt sets, interpret the data, and write the recommendations.

Quoted is the opposite. We run the experiments on your client’s behalf and ship you the intelligence each month. Your team gets back the time the data engineering would have cost, and your client gets back analysis that’s genuinely defensible because the methodology is published and reproducible.

The model is closer to how agencies have always used Gartner, Forrester, or the IAB—you subscribe to the research layer to make better strategic decisions. The difference is that Quoted is built specifically for AEO, prices for agency budgets, and publishes raw data so your client’s data team can verify anything you cite.

How the Research Compounds

Every new client inherits research we’ve already validated across other verticals.

When we discover a global trend in our data set, you are the first to know. That way, you get personalized insights from your own data as well as insights generated across our entire data corpus. That means you get actionable insights from day one and they only get better with time.

Operationally, this matters when you bring a new client into a vertical we’ve already studied. Day one, they inherit a working recommendation library we already own—and they don’t have to go through the six-month wait for their own data to accumulate.

What’s In It

A regular stream of AEO action items for your client.

One vertical = one of your client’s ICP segments. Cybersecurity. Healthcare IT. FinTech. Whatever you’re working in. 100 ICP-aware prompts get tracked monthly across Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity, with the option of adding Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot. You receive:

Citation Set
Monthly
The full set of cited URLs across all 100 prompts, by engine, with a persistence flag (cited the same way last month? still cited this month?). The reference dataset your team uses for every client conversation about who’s being cited in their space.
Performance Read
Monthly
Where your client’s domain appears across the 100 tracked prompts, by engine, with quarter-over-quarter persistence. Honest measurement: we report what the data shows, not promises. Your renewal-defense ammunition.
Content Rules Update
Monthly
The growing rules library—structural content patterns that correlate with persistent citation, each one traceable to a published Half-Life experiment. Your team uses this as the spine of every content recommendation.
Vertical Drilldown
Quarterly
A standalone report on what’s changed in the vertical’s AI-search landscape this quarter. New domains gaining citation share, old ones losing it, engine-specific shifts. Lift directly into your client’s QBR deck.
Office Hours
Monthly, 45 min
Group call with the Quoted research team. Bring questions about your specific client situations, the latest engine shifts, or methodology you want to learn from. Recorded for team members who can’t make it live.
Half-Life Subscription
Weekly
The weekly research newsletter. One reproducible experiment per issue, ~2,000 words. Source material your team quotes in client decks and shares in Slack.

Honest Answers

The hard questions agencies ask us—answered straight.

$499/month feels low for what you’re describing. What’s the catch?

No catch. We benchmark against Profound’s price range on purpose—agencies should be able to pilot a vertical with real insights, not actionless data. The unit economics work because the same prompt set, run once, serves every agency operating in that vertical. You’re subscribing to the research output, not paying for bespoke delivery.

We already subscribe to Semrush and Ahrefs. Why add another data subscription?

Semrush and Ahrefs index the open web. They do not run experiments on how AI engines select citations. Their data tells you what ranks on Google; Quoted’s research tells you what gets cited by Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and Microsoft Copilot—and which content features change that. Different question, different dataset.

What stops us from just reading the free Half-Life issues?

Nothing. The newsletter is free on purpose. The Agency tier exists for firms who need vertical-specific tracking, the rules library, the monthly performance read on their client’s domain, and a research team to ask questions of. If the free newsletter is enough for your work, that’s the right answer.

Is this a white-label dashboard? Can we resell it under our brand?

Not yet. At the moment we don’t white-label a product. We license research and rules. You take them into your existing audit and reporting motion. Agency Pro includes co-branded annual reports (Quoted research, your firm’s logo); it is not a re-skin of our platform.

How is this different from Gartner or Forrester for AI search?

The structural shape is similar—methodology-grade research, published with provenance, sold on subscription. The differences: we’re focused exclusively on AEO citation persistence. Our focus is on making your clients’ citations last as long as possible, we publish raw data (Gartner does not), and our pricing is built for agencies, not enterprise IT budgets.

What does “100 prompts per vertical” actually mean? Are these our prompts or yours?

Both. We bring you through our in-house prompt selection process developed from real buyer-question corpora. It is a collaborative process so you can swap in your own prompts during onboarding if you have specific buyer intents you want tracked. We re-run the full set every month so persistence data accumulates from day one.

Book a Connection Call

Start with a 20-minute call—we’ll tell you honestly if it’s a fit.

Every Agency Desk engagement kicks off the same way: a 20-minute connection call where we’re honest about whether we’re the right fit for the work you’re trying to win. If we are, we schedule a deeper 45-minute working call with the verticals you’d want to start with mapped out, a sample of the rules library applied to one of your client domains, and pricing scoped to your firm.

Tell us a little about your agency below. We respond within two business days.

Question 1 of 4
Tell us about your agency
We use the URL to pull your existing AI citation footprint before the call.
Question 2 of 4
How big is your team?
Helps us scope. Smaller agencies often start with a single vertical; larger agencies usually want multi-vertical from day one.
Question 3 of 4
How many verticals do you want to track?
One vertical = one of your client’s ICP segments. $499/month per vertical, with discounts at 10+.
Question 4 of 4
Which verticals, and what else should we know?
Optional. The specific industries you’d want us to start with, the client situation that triggered this inquiry, or anything else useful for the connection call.
By submitting, you agree we can email you about your inquiry. We don’t sell or share your data—see our privacy policy.
